Ellen Zouras, a Project Manager Change Fellow through Construction for Change, brings a wealth of experience to Togo. Hope Through Health partners with the 30/30 Project and Construction for Change to renovate health clinics and build new facilities across northern Togo. Ellen will loan her expertise to help renovate dilapidated health centers so that they reflect the high quality of services being delivered inside their walls.
Ellen is joining Hope Through Health in Togo as a Project Manager Change Fellow through Construction for Change. She grew up in Skokie, Illinois, and received her B.S. with distinction from Purdue University. Ellen majored in Construction Management and triple minored in Sustainable Environments, Organizational Leadership, and Construction Graphics. She brings 5+ years of Construction Management experience focusing on high-end tech interior build-outs for Oracle, Starbucks, Amazon, and Tableau.
“I’m really excited to use my skills for humanity’s greater good,” Ellen explains of her new position in Togo.
In Kpindi, Sarakawa, or Djamde in northern Togo, where Hope Through Health is renovating health centers in partnership with Construction for Change and the 30/30 Project, being a patient is filled with challenges. Long waits in crowded halls. A lack of latrines, running water, and places to bathe. Little to no privacy. Ellen is looking forward to helping restore critical healthcare infrastructure and ensuring that communities have a safe and clean building in which to receive basic care with dignity.
