This program provides essential medical care to pregnant women living with HIV to help them deliver babies who are HIV-free. The Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission (PMTCT) program supported by Hope Through Health coordinates medical consultations and the provision of essential medications and nutrition support for pregnant women living with HIV and their children. |

UNAIDS, the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS
UNAIDS brings together the efforts and resources of ten UN system organizations to the global AIDS response. Cosponsors include UNHCR, UNICEF, WFP, UNDP, UNFPA, UNODC, ILO, UNESCO, WHO and the World Bank. Based in Geneva, the UNAIDS secretariat works on the ground in more than 75 countries world wide.
Global Alliance for Community Empowerment (GACE)
Global Alliance for Community Empowerment (GACE) is a non profit organization established by the Agbanga Karite Group, a shea butter cooperative in central Togo, West Africa, Alaffia, and individual volunteers from around the world. Their mission is to empower African communities through the advancement of fair trade, education, sustainable living, and gender equality. In 2007, GACE and HTH forged a partnership through their shared mission of promoting social progress in Togo.
Alaffia Sustainable Skin Care
Alaffia is a company that provides fairly traded, handcrafted Shea Butter that benefits the communities that produce it as well as the communities that purchase it. Members of the Agbanga Karite/Alaffia Shea Butter cooperative gain pride as they are able to use their traditional knowledge and skills to support their families. Their customers benefit because they are receiving an authentic product directly from the source. As part of our Fair Trade philosophy, Alaffia uses 10% of their sales for community enhancement projects in Togo, West Africa, including generous support of HTH’s efforts, and locally in Washington State.
