"AED-Lidaw's use of technology is significantly ahead of any other groups working in Togo," says the head of monitoring and evaluation for the National Program to Fight AIDS (PNLS). On an unannounced visit the PNLS representative was pleasantly surprised by AED-Lidaw's electronic data and medical records systems. He graciously thanked HTH for our systematic efforts to introduce and improve HIV/AIDS treatment in Togo.

"For tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare for it today"
-African Proverb
Association Espoir pour Demain (AED-Lidaw) is a self-organized group consisting primarily of people infected with HIV/AIDS working together with members who are affected (usually by means of infected family members or friends) by the AIDS epidemic. AED-Lidaw has been dedicated to bringing hope and support to people living with HIV/AIDS and their families through support and services since 2001. The active participation of members creates a family united to provide the best standard of care available. In addition, AED-Lidaw aids the larger community by organizing prevention initiatives aimed at raising awareness, while minimizing stigmatization and discrimination. Through its commitment and resolve, AED-Lidaw is HTH's primary partner in the development of a community-based model for delivery of HIV/AIDS treatment in West Africa.
