HTH recognizes that the magnitude of the AIDS epidemic necessitates a coordinated response. HTH Initiatives rely heavily on collaboration, not only with local communities, but also with governments and international organizations.
Local Governments
HTH works in close collaboration with public health systems. Publicly funded clinics and hospitals are responsible for many outsourced testing and treatment services. Publicly trained doctors and nurses provide their services in HTH clinics and coordinate medical services between HTH clinics and public health centers.
International Organizations
HTH works in close collaboration with international organizations to coordinate complimentary programming. Organizations focused on prevention train staff of HTH testing centers and provide funding for HTH’s mass awareness and education building programs. Collaboration with organizations that provide treatment services, such as nutrition support, youth education or infant care, compliment HTH’s existing treatment programs. HTH Initiatives also assist in developing similar treatment programs for other HIV/AIDS associations and train health professionals and volunteers throughout Togo.
